Nerve Conditions In Dogs

The demyelinating condition chronic degenerative myelopathy (CDM or CDRM) causes a progessive loss of use of the hind legs, in German Shepherds in particular but also in other breeds including Labrador Retrievers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers and others. There is no cure for this cause of lameness with its source in the nervous system (see Central Nervous System).
